Golf Girona was inaugurated in 1992. The course was designed by the prestigious architect F.G Hawtree, with 18 holes, par 72, covering a distance of 6,100 meters. This is the only course in Spain that has been seeded with "Pencross".

The course takes full advantage of the local topography and the natural shape of the terrain, the result being both elegant and pleasing but, at the same time, offering a challenge to golfers of all levels. It is completely isolated from the urban life of Girona and has a superbly tranquil valley setting – there are stunning glimpses of Girona through the trees.

Other facilities include a driving range, restaurant, snack bar and putting green. There is a Pro Shop, championship management service etc., and a variety of equipment is available for hire. English is spoken and the staff are very helpful, for example, they will call for taxi's for the airport. Green fees range from 40-65 euros approximately – a discounted annual membership fee is available to non resident owners.
