The Golf Girona development is conveniently located just outside Girona with ready access onto the A7 Motorway. It is therefore attractive not just to golfers, with its picturesque 18 hole 6000m course, but to those looking to explore what is a beautiful part of the world.

The location gives ready access to the Pyrenees, about a 1 hour drive to the ski slopes in season, Barcelona is approximately a 1¼ hours train ride and the Costa Brava itself with its beautiful rugged coast line and picturesque coves is 40 minute drive away. Girona itself is a lovely city – chic, historic and lively – and importantly open all year round – 3 miles distant.

In the early spring, it is genuinely possible to ski, golf and sunbathe on the beach on consecutive days – we have done it!

Ryanair operate from many UK airports, including Bournemouth, Blackpool, East Midlands, Glasgow, Doncaster, Durham, Liverpool, Manchester and Newquay directly to Girona Airport – 15 minutes drive. Prat International Airport (Barcelona) is 1¼ hours drive and is served by Easyjet, BA and most major airlines; Perpignan International Airport is 40 minutes drive and is served by Flybe from Southampton.

Alternatively, Girona is a 635 mile drive from the northern French ferry port of Caen. High speed rail improvements are under way to take the TGV through from Paris to Barcelona and Madrid, with a stop at Girona – expected to be complete in about 3-4 years. The location is therefore robust to the vagaries of changing budget airline schedules.
